Job Description
Joining Collibra’s AI Engineering team
Collibra is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Operations Engineer to contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence solutions. As an ML Ops Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences and facilitating informed decision-making through pragmatic, performant AI solutions.
ML Ops Engineers at Collibra are responsible for
- Maintaining, monitoring, and developing production MLaaS infrastructure across Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Edge environments.
- Building scalable infrastructure solutions to support the implementation of GenAI technologies and other AI/ML solutions.
- Architecting and optimizing complex build pipelines, ensuring alignment with best practices and CI/CD principles.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to architect ML CI/CD approaches and foster continuous improvement in MLOps/LLMOps practices.
- Keeping abreast of evolving MLOps/LLMOps trends and technologies to deliver scalable infrastructure for technical users.
You have
- At least 2 years of expertise in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD in production environments, with demonstrable experience deploying and sustaining customer-facing features.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Grafana, Datadog, Jenkins, and Git, leveraging these technologies for current deployments.
- Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS or GCP, and a commitment to ongoing learning and application of new cloud engineering concepts.
- A passion for cloud engineering and a proactive approach to continuous learning and innovation.
- Some familiarity with Java and Python, facilitating effective debugging within feature deployments.
- An interest in Artificial Intelligence and a willingness to learn from ML experts to contribute to AI/ML feature deployment.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Kubeflow or Vertex Pipelines, demonstrating a strong capability in automating and optimizing ML workflows
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
- Because this role supports the US government, it is required that this candidate be a US citizen who resides on US soil; this person will need to be available for FedRAMP cloud offerings support.

- Enthusiastic about scaling Large Language Models and other Generative AI technologies across organizations, driving sustainability and maintainability efforts.
Measures of success
- Within the first month, gain a comprehensive understanding of existing infrastructure and pipelines.
- By the third month, contribute to projects running in production and develop a broader overview of AI/ML projects and Collibra’s product offerings.
- Within the sixth month, take ownership of projects and initiatives, proposing improvements and automation opportunities based on identified gaps in tooling.
Compensation for this role
The standard base salary range for this position is $140,000-175,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
