Job Description

As an MLOps Intern at Digital Catapult, you will have an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and to work alongside our passionate AI/ML Technologists and Data Scientists towards a grand mission of contributing to BridgeAI, a national level programme that aims at accelerating the AI innovation journey.

Your job will include developing reusable MLOps automated pipelines using open-source tools on cloud platforms that will help organisations to quickly operationalise their AI/ML models. You will need to be passionate about researching and learning various MLOps tools/ platforms to support the implementation.

This is a 4-Month Internship

WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)

  • Research on and familiarise yourself with MLOps tools and platforms available in the market.
  • Work alongside our Data Scientists to develop reusable MLOps automated pipelines (using open source and commercial tools) for model training, testing, and deployment in cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to implementing a scalable solution including monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Contribute to documenting reusable MLOps processes and best practices via GitHub repository.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s (preferable) or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Machine Learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, and experience using version control systems like Git.
  • Basic knowledge of MLOps tools and platforms, DevOps or software engineering practices.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to research and learn new technologies and contribute to MLOps practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
