Our Data Engineering program sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, pioneering new approaches to security challenges through the application of generative AI technologies. Responsibilities: Design and implement cutting-edge GenAI solutions that enhance Yahoo’s security posture, working closely with our engineering leads to protect Yahoo’s brand in innovative ways Architect and develop scalable applications that leverage modern LLM technologies and APIs (AWS Bedrock, VertexAI, OpenAI, etc. ) to automate security processes Drive technical design decisions through all phases of the product lifecycle, from ideation to production deployment Collaborate with security teams across The Paranoids to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and implement effective solutions Perform code reviews, maintain high code quality standards, and ensure proper documentation of systems Troubleshoot and optimize production applications to ensure reliability and performance Participate in agile practices and effectively manage delivery commitments A Lot About You: As a GenAI Engineer in The Paranoids, you will be at the forefront of applying GenAI to solve complex cybersecurity challenges. You have a passion for both AI technology and security, with the ability to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and practical security solutions.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to make an impact in the security domain. Required Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years of software development experience 1+ years of hands-on experience working with Large Language Models and GenAI platforms (AWS Bedrock, VertexAI, OpenAI APIs) Familiarity with data warehousing/lakehouse concepts (Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake) and managing structured and unstructured security data at scale Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and feature preparation Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and scalable architecture Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services and infrastructure Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Databricks Proven track record of building and maintaining production-grade applications Experience with security tools, frameworks, or applications Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning techniques Familiarity with vector databases and embedding models Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures Understanding of security best practices and common vulnerabilities Experience working in a global, distributed team environment The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.
