Job Description

Company Description

Wolt is a Helsinki-based technology company that provides an online platform for consumers, merchants, and couriers. It connects people looking to order food and other goods with people interested in selling and delivering them. To enable this, Wolt develops a wide range of technologies from local logistics to retail software and financial solutions – as well as operating its own grocery stores under the Wolt Market brand. Wolt’s products include Wolt+ (subscription service for customers), Wolt for Work (meal benefits and office deliveries for companies), Wolt Drive (fast last-mile deliveries for merchants), and Wolt Self-Delivery (service for merchant partners with their own delivery staff). Wolt’s mission is to make cities better by empowering and growing local communities. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 31 countries today, 27 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

Job Description

Together with our amazing People Analytics teammates from DoorDash, we’re looking for an Analytics Manager to lead our small but mighty team of analysts responsible for self-service reporting and deep dives across the People space. The ideal candidate will excel as a “player – coach”, excited to provide functional leadership to the team, provide thought partnership to their stakeholders, and roll up their sleeves to dive into the data themselves.

The role can be based in Finland (preferred), or Sweden. You can work onsite, hybrid, or fully remote from one of the mentioned locations – the work format is up to you 🙌

You will work directly with stakeholders across the Wolt people team (as well as the rest of the Wolt business), serving as their thought partner to solve problems and prioritize solutions to big, thorny questions. You will report directly to the US-based Sr. Manager of People Analytics at DoorDash, and will partner closely with them and your US-based peers in Recruiting Analytics and Data Science to lead People Analytics across the globe.

Your daily work will include

• Supervising the day-to-day work of your team of analysts responsible for people analytics, recruiting analytics, and similar.
• Serving as the trusted advisor, thought leader, and representative of the global People Analytics team to your stakeholders across Wolt.
• Leading the development of metrics, reports, dashboards and analyses, putting high-quality insights directly into the hands of your stakeholders.
• Developing a cohesive vision and roadmap together with your peers and partner teams across the globe, including US-based Data Science, People Analytics, Recruiting Analytics, Data Engineering, and People Applications teams.
• Dive into the data, diagnosing data and reporting needs, building new solutions, and providing answers to big, ambiguous, critical problems.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in a quantitatively focused discipline, e.g., experimental psychology, economics, computer science, physics, or similar.
• Strong experience working as an Analyst, BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or techy Data Analyst. People/HR Analytics experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading small teams with outsized impact.
• Demonstrated experience working with and influencing technical and nontechnical cross-functional peers and stakeholders. This will be a highly visible role within the People Team, and building trust with your colleagues will be critical.
Tech skills: Python, SQL, R, AWS, and one of the modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Sigma, or similar). Advanced SQL skills, and ability to write optimized queries for large data sets.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Deep expertise in data visualization and analysis. Some expertise in statistics is preferred (regressions, t-tests). Nice to have: Experience analyzing survey data.
• Since you’ll be taking care of our internal stakeholders, we’re looking for someone who truly enjoys interacting with people on a daily basis. The ability to search for information and ask relevant questions from various teams will be crucial.
