Overview
At Mastercard, the People Insights Team play a crucial role in shaping our talent strategy and enhancing employee experience through data-driven insights. The People Insights Manager role is an addition to our newly created Insights Services Team within the Global People Operations and Insights team at Mastercard, operating across multiple Regions & time zones.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistics, and human resources, with a focus on generating actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making within the organisation. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, analyse data, and communicate findings effectively to Leadership audiences. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented, execution-focused, and accomplished at driving quantifiable results within a global and matrixed organization.
Role
o Conduct in-depth analyses of employee data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
o Applies knowledge in quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as data visualization to surface clear and compelling narratives that inform the People Strategy
o Influences the development of actionable KPIs that drive business decisions and inform executive management and other key constituents
o Provides thought leadership to convert inputs from stakeholder teams into creative, scalable solutions
o Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security by establishing and enforcing data quality standards.
o Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in people analytics and data science.
o Collaborates with data engineering and visualization resources to access and manipulate data, explain data requirements, and surface findings via cutting-edge visualizations and dashboards
o Provides program management support for Solutioning and Automation activities, including project prioritization through partnership across the People Analytics Leadership team
o Demonstrates exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data

Essential
o Experience in providing measurable business outcomes through surfacing insights relating to organizational effectiveness
o Outcome driven; with experience providing innovative analytical solutions that have lasting impact in multiple dimensions; strategic, operational and financial
o Ability to translate results of analyses into data-driven insights to ensure key messages resonate with the target audience
o Structured thinking, seeking to proactively introduce structure and processes where gaps may exist
o Ability to collaborate with peers and cross functional teams, working across multiple time zones
o Creative and nimble with ability to overcome obstacles to solve hard problems
o Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority

o Ability to work within the confines of data governance and privacy standards
o End-to-end problem-solving and communication abilities: diagnosis, data cleaning, integration and transformation, analysis, visualization, and presentation
Desirable
o Comfortable working in a technical environment
o Possesses a commensurate level of experience in relationship building across large scale organizations; through providing a Consulting service to internal or external client groups
o Experience managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python
o Familiarity with ETL tool capabilities and utility (e.g., Alteryx, Informatica)
o Experience in HR data (Workday preferred)
o Experience in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, and Domo preferred)
o Experience with Agile/Scrum environment preferred
