Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing at Leeds Beckett University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Digital Engineering and Built Environment.
We are seeking an ambitious and research active individual to support the school’s growing cross disciplinary research activities at the intersection of computing, engineering, and the built environment. The school has established significant expertise and a strong track record in digital engineering and built environment research, including the successful delivery of externally funded projects, interdisciplinary collaborations, and high-quality research outputs addressing major industry and societal challenges.
The successful candidate will contribute to the further development of this research area through high quality publications, collaborative funding applications, industrial engagement, and interdisciplinary research activities.
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in areas such as:
- Construction Informatics
- Digital Engineering
- BIM and Digital Twins
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Automation and Intelligent Systems
- Smart Infrastructure
- Computer Vision
- Data Analytics for the Built Environment
You should possess:
- A completed PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Strong research expertise in digital engineering and built environment research.
- A strong publication profile in internationally recognised journals.
- Experience contributing to collaborative research and funding applications.
- The ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary research environments.
