Postdoctoral Appointee for Large Language Models (LLM) and complex systems
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative researcher working at the interface of modeling complex system and AI to join our team developing Large Language Models (LLM) based agentic code for completing complex tasks, such as designing, parameterizing, and assessing simulations. The candidate will be expected to research and develop novel approaches for LLM-based agentic code generation and optimization, collaborate with LLM training teams to continuously integrate new LLMs into existing systems and workflows, and analyze results to improve performance and efficiency.
Position Requirements
- Completed or soon-to-be completed PhD (within the last 0-5 years) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
- Experience with modeling complex systems or natural language processing
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with course-grained modeling, renormalization group, large language models, reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, and/or simulation environments
- Highly self-motivated candidate who demonstrates creative and proactive approaches towards scientific problem solving as evidenced by publications and recommendations
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
