Job Description

The Human Interaction Lab at Montana State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team for an exciting NSF-sponsored project. This research focuses on the integration of spatial computing, AI/machine learning, data science, and human factors engineering to advance our understanding and development of human-centered technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct research
  • Develop machine learning algorithms
  • Apply data science techniques
  • Collaborate with a team
  • Publish findings
  • Mentor students

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in HCI, machine learning, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience with spatial computing and wearable technology is highly desirable.
  • Strong programming skills and proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., Python).

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  • Spatial Computing Development Experience (e.g. Unity).

The Successful Candidate Will
The successful candidate will be an effective team player, good communicator (in writing and presenting scientific talks), and a role model in terms of ethical behavior for the graduate students in the project.
