Power BI Administrator
Job Description
The Power BI (PBI) Admin will be an integrated member of Cirrus Aircraft’s Data & Analytics team and will support business teams and the Power BI Platform by configuring, monitoring and provisioning resources which align to the organizational needs. This role requires a high level of self-direction and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, data products. The PBI Admin will collaborate with the other members of the Data & Analytics team to define our company’s PBI architecture to support our next generation of data products and initiatives. This position will be part of the Information Technology team.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Responsible for providing full Power BI service administration – user management, workspace management, gateway administration, data sources.
- Grow and integrate Power BI Service by designing and deploying workspaces, data models, app tiers, gateways, report services, and dashboard support.
- Design, develop, and implement Power BI reports and dashboards as needed.
- Performing application upgrades, hotfixes and documentation based on policies and industry best practices.
- Maintain and update existing documentation where available, author new documentation as required.
- Act as escalated support resource for help desk and end users as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing Power BI reports and dataflows.
- Ability to manage tasks and work independently in a professional, deadline-based environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively participate in team-based client delivery projects.
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile/DevOps processes a plus.
- Knowledge of Azure PBI Admin tools (Data Factory, Synapse) a plus.
