Job Description

The role will be hands-on in designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have an eye for design and a deep understanding of UI/UX principles to create engaging data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to end-users.

The role requires a blend of technical proficiency and creativity. You will leverage advanced features of Power BI, such as custom visuals, themes, and interactive elements, to create dynamic and interactive reports that capture attention and encourage exploration. Additionally, you will continuously refine and optimize existing reports, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in a rapidly evolving business environment.

Essential duties:

• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards that meet user requirements and enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Apply principles of UI/UX design to create visually appealing and user-friendly data visualizations.
• Develop custom visuals and templates to standardize reporting processes and improve efficiency.
• Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve report usability and effectiveness.
• Provide training and support to end-users on accessing and interpreting reports.
• Hands-on analysis and modeling of complex data sets in order to understand how it can solve business problems.
• Provision of business and technical requirements documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstratable hands on experience of delivering BI and Analytical solutions using a variety of tools (PowerBI, Python).
• Good communicator with experience of explaining technical information to a non-technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and focused on accuracy of output.

Required experience:

• Examples of solving tangible business problems using data analytics based off complex data structures.
• Extracting data from an IFS, SAP or Oracle ERP for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Finance and commercial business process knowledge ideally within the IT or Software Industry.
