About the department

You will join our Commercial Analytics team within Finance GBS. Our team is dedicated to providing data-based insights to support business intelligence, optimise effectiveness, and predict business outcomes. We focus on analysing data to identify trends and patterns, preparing ongoing reports and data visualizations to aid in data storytelling. Our team employs the use of business intelligence applications and reporting capabilities to deliver impactful insights. The position

As a Power BI Dashboard Developer at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize and present data in a clear and meaningful way. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and requirements.
  • Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Power BI tools and features. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data in the dashboards by regularly updating and validating the underlying data sources.
  • Transform complex data sets into visually compelling and easy-to-understand reports and visualizations. Identify and select appropriate data visualization techniques to effectively communicate insights and trends.
  • Customise and format reports and visualizations to meet specific business needs and requirements. Regularly review and update existing reports and visualizations to ensure they remain relevant and impactful.
  • Analyse large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights. Apply analytical techniques to extract meaningful information from the data. Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data-driven recommendations

Qualifications

 

We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in the commercial domain in designing and developing Power BI dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Power BI tools and features.
  • Experience with data analysis and generating insights from large data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with other data visualization tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
