JOB TITLE: Power BI Developer 

DEPARTMENT: Business Development

REPORTS TO: VP of Business Development & Corporate Strategy

JOB SUMMARY: Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, crafting and executing queries upon request for data, and presenting information through reports and visualization to both internal and external stakeholders.

This role involves maintaining and enhancing our Power BI environment and collaborating with various departments—including sales, national accounts, operations, and accounting, etc. — to create comprehensive reports, dashboards, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Power BI, SQL, Excel, and DAX, and possess strong communication and project management skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Report Development: Design and develop interactive and insightful Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making processes.
• Data Modeling: Create and manage efficient data models using Power BI.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various data sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data to discover trends and patterns and generate data-driven insights.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions promoting operational excellence and ultimate customer satisfaction.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices.
• Documentation: Document technical specifications and maintain Power BI report documentation.

Requirements

Experience:

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.

Hands-on experience in data integration and data modeling in Power BI.

Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query M.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature as well as periods of prolonged sitting.
