Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations. The role requires a deep understanding of Power BI, data modeling, and the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights through interactive and meaningful dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they meet the needs of stakeholders across the organization.
  • Work closely with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
  • Design and implement data models for optimal performance and reporting in Power BI.
  • Connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, cloud services, and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop and optimize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) measures and queries for data analysis.
  • Implement security features in Power BI reports and dashboards, such as row-level security (RLS).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data sources, and performance.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Ensure reports are visually compelling, accurate, and user-friendly.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain documentation for all reports and dashboards created.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continually improve the BI solutions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar BI role.
  • Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Expertise in creating and optimizing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex measures and calculations.
  • Experience with Power Query for data transformation and data cleansing.
  • Familiarity with SQL and other data querying languages to pull data from databases and other sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders and technical teams.
