Job Description:

The Power BI Developer / Analyst position combines in-depth business knowledge with expertise for analyzing data.   The position is focused on building and maintaining data modeling and reporting tools to track business performance and aid in the decision-making process.

This will include interactions with the Epiq Executive Team as well as with the Information Governance (IG) Delivery Team to prioritize business analysis needs for internal and external engagements.  The information and analysis provided will guide the Epiq IG team as it relates to understanding KPIs and planning for future growth as well as for tracking external project metrics for reporting to clients. Developing and deploying dashboards for external client projects will be significant portion of the workload.

This is a technical, hands-on delivery role requiring strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets with attention to detail and accuracy. The geographic scope for assigned tasks is potentially global with a primary emphasis on services delivered within North America. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Track financials daily
  • Prepare Power BI Dashboards and Excel reports on financials.
  • Prepare and audit project-based P&L through automation as compared to P&L report from Finance.
  • Report on other business KPIs from SAP, Salesforce, and Pulse
  • Manage tracking for key metrics for proprietary software products and projects.
  • Specialty Reporting for Epiq Senior Management and IG Management Teams
  • Hold Revenue tracking Sessions and summarize to IG team.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for reporting.
  • Actively seek ways to improve business reporting processes and interactions.  Improve engagement interactions.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contribute to strategic business initiatives within the information governance practice.
  • Perform administrative tasks that support the practice’s objectives, as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Characteristics

  • 3+ years’ experience as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Process Specialist, or other roles where business functional requirements are captured and decomposed.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in application development
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel
  • Proficiency with Power BI, including extensive experience in creating dashboards and visual analysis of datasets.
  • Power BI skills should also emphasize design aesthetics, with an ability to create visually appealing dashboards.
  • DAX experience needed.  Write functions within Power BI
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting/Python – This is a plus.
  • Experience with databases and SQL syntax, ideally with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Understanding of data modeling and data organization
  • Ability to analyze data sets from external sources and map to an established relational data model.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and communication skills 
  • Collaborative mindset and service orientation
  • Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, calm demeanor
  • Experience extracting data from non-database sources (XML, XLS, CSV file) Database sources (SQL Server) and developing visualizations by using Power BI
  • Must have data manipulation experience. 
  • Experience with KQL is a plus.

Hours

Working hours should align with US East Coast hours.
