Power BI developer
Job Description
NN Group is looking for an ambitious Power BI developer with administrator skills, to support our extensive financial data reporting environment based on Power BI. You will be responsible for driving defined Power BI dashboards, data visualization reports, and data models. As the Power BI developer, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, develop powerful data visualization/dashboards, and support Power BI dashboard training as needed. You will work in a team of experienced Power BI developers with a strong knowledge of financial data.
You are:
- You are an enthusiastic Power BI developer who is passionate about data, numbers and reporting tools.
- You are a sparring partner for the Product Owner and contribute to the roadmap- and sprint planning by defining and estimating user stories.
- You report on progress and impediments on a daily basis to the team and support further development of the Agile way of working of the team.
- You provide feedback to your colleagues to support personal development.
Your role:
- Designs and implements financial reports/dashboards associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis, modeling, and predicting to enable informed business decisions. Your key tool for this is Power BI.
- Works with stakeholders to identify trends, aggregate data and build visually appealing reports in Power BI.
- Collaborates across departments and with stakeholders to define requirements and develop business solutions.
- Creates solutions from initial concept to fully tested production; and demonstrates results to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Extracts and compiles various sources of information and large data sets from various systems to identify and analyze outliers.
- Builds SQL ETL routines to prepare data for reporting.
Your profile:
- You have experience with creating reporting solutions with Financial Data.
- Knowledge and experience on Power BI, including administration and reporting
- Solid understanding or Microsoft Power BI platform
- Strong Data modelling knowledge
- You have experience in using Excel reports and Excel data analysis.
- You love working with numbers and providing business insights with these numbers.
- Love for automation and passion for Cloud technologies
- You have experience with the Agile/Scrum way of working.
- You have a pro-active attitude to problem-solving.
- Your English language skills are good, both verbal and in writing
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting / financial reporting experience
- Minimum 3+ years of data visualization and business analysis experience
- Hands-on experience building visually appealing Power BI dashboards
- Experience with Power BI tools suite
- Experience with implementation of various Power BI architectures
- Demonstrated best practices to develop visualizations on Power BI desktop or Power BI service to ensure optimal performance, security, and governance
- Expert level familiarity with Excel, Power BI, and Power Query
- Demonstrated ability to construct custom calculations through DAX
- Strong understanding and ability to transform and integrate existing data sets
- You preferably have one or more Power BI certifications from Microsoft such as PL-300.
