Job Description:

The Power Platform Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the effective use and maintenance of Power Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and configure the Power Platform environment for optimal performance and security.

  • Manage environments, user licensing, and capacity using the Power Platform admin center.

  • Monitor the performance and usage of Dataverse environments, including optimizing data models, monitoring resource utilization, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

  • Enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies to safeguard data and maintain corporate compliance.

  • Monitor capacity performance and identify optimization opportunities.

  • Resolve issues related to data refresh failures, report rendering, and query performance.

  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate issues.

  • Conduct regular system audits and health checks to preemptively address potential issues.

  • Stay up to date with the latest features and updates, recommending adoption where appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Help define and implement governance standards for Power Platform to ensure consistent and compliant use across the organization.

  • Work with security teams to ensure the appropriate security posture is maintained.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Microsoft 365 administration expertise, including SharePoint and OneDrive.

  • Experience with DLP policies, user licensing, and capacity management.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) kit.

  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, DAX language, and M query language.

  • Exposure to SQL Server, Azure Data Services, and data warehousing concepts.
