PowerApps Data Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced PowerApps experienced Data Engineer for its Federal Strategic Cyber sector.
Location: Arlington, VA.
In this role, you will:
- Work directly with Federal customers to support agency-wide projects and technical solutions; utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and deliver innovative end-to-end solutions as challenges arise.
- Deliver services and solutions for Peraton’s customers as part of the Power Platform Team using the suite of Microsoft’s PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, custom development, and data integrations on the platform. Expertise in these areas is a must have.
- Identify areas and processes where Microsoft 365, Office 365, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.
- Collect, clean, and integrate data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external platforms.
- Design, build, maintain and analyze Power BI Reports using SQL language, DAX functions and Power Query M formula language.
- Bring product management practices to report/dashboard development—optimizing for user experience, reducing friction, establishing UI standards, etc.
- Promote data governance, data quality and self-service; enable the business to create their own dashboards while keeping a tight governance framework in place.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Data Engineering to develop ongoing improvements to data quality, standardized definitions, governance, tools, and approaches.
- Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience; or a Masters degree and 3 years. An additional 4 years of related technical experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Experience and expertise in and with: Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, PowerShell.
- Minimum of 2 years of business systems and data analysis and support experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of data engineering (ETL, cleaning, modeling, etc.) and developing data-centric solutions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience consulting with Federal customers, project management, and Agile development methodology.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. In addition, you must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing business applications with Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint and other M365 products.
- Familiarity with Data Science, data analysis, and data engineering.
- General software development experience, especially familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience working with the Federal government or in Federal contracting.

Target Salary Range
$104,000 – $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
