What You’ll Do:
- Mentor a team of Analytics Engineers – the glue between analytics and data engineering
- Build performant, scalable, and extensible data models
- Build and deliver clean, transformed, and analytics-ready data sets
- Develop and maintain a Data Observability framework
- Facilitate projects and ad-hoc data pulls with Data Engineers
- Establish and maintain best practices to coding formats, naming conventions, and version control
- Create and maintain dashboards that serve teams across the organization
- Oversee project statuses and ensure smooth communications between stakeholders and project assignees
Who You Are:
- BS in a technical or quantitative field
- 6 – 10 years of work experience in analytical/quantitative roles
- Expertise with SQL and Python
- Strong experience in architecting data applications
- Expert in Data modeling techniques like Dimensional Modeling, OBT, etc.
- Willing to research and learn completely new technologies and tools such as API and Dashboarding tools
- Experience with ETL process using SQL or Python
- Experience with at least one data orchestration tool e.g. DBT, Airflow, Prefect, etc.
- Experience with dashboarding tool, complex outputs in any of the following:
- Power BI
- TIBCO Spotfire
- Tableau
- Experience with Redshift
Bonus points:
- Knowledge of the YouTube or Content Creator industry
- Experience with Data platforms e.g. Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Los Angeles. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The overall market range for roles in this area of Spotter are typically: $100-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual discretionary bonus and equity.
