As a Principal – Master Data Management, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing & implementing a roadmap for Baker Hughes’ master data management roadmap.
  • Defining data replication architecture and managing data redundancies.
  • Developing & implementing technical solutions that take the current decentralized master data objects managed through multiple platforms and systems into a structure with an objective to create a single source of truth for the master data.
  • Translating the strategy roadmap into tactical phases for delivery. Coordinate with architecture functions across the enterprise to align on MDM strategy, approach, and steps. Ensure cohesiveness of MDM strategy with overall DT strategy.
  • Providing architectural and design input to projects that tap on master data.
  • Participating in projects where there are significant changes to MDM as a result of major initiatives.
  • Ensuring the right level of data privacy and data security principles are implemented.
  • Defining metrics and KPIs to measure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of MDM process and operations.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
  • Have 5+ years of professional experience in data management systems, data governance, and a solid understanding of data quality principles.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to demonstrate abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and convey complex data concepts & MDM strategy effectively.
  • Have proficiency in data modeling, data replication, data security and understanding data integration techniques.
  • Have knowledge of relevant tools and technologies, such as MDM software and data governance frameworks.
  • Have problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to work in a matrixed organization.
