The TI Engineering group focuses on building cutting edge solutions, countering adversary-based threats to Microsoft and its customers through dissemination of threat intelligence, proactive hunting, incident response, and the development of new solutions and methods to detect adversary activity, investigate and respond to the attacks.

Responsibilities

  • Define system architecture and technology vision and roadmap for the platform.
  • Security champ – Be the voice of software security and compliance architecture during product planning, definition, development, and validation to ensure the delivery of an end-to-end secure system. 
  • Mentoring and tutoring – Technical leadership and support to multiple software teams: mentoring engineers through the development lifecycle, from design reviews to help tackling and debugging prod issues.
  • Development and PoC – take a part in the development effort (platform and deployment), focusing on important features that show the way.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in leading the architecture of large-scale high availability distributed SaaS systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in the cyber-security space. 
  • Experience in defining and implementing security hardening aspects of platforms and/or products. 
  • Education: Computer Science / Industrial Engineering or similar degree (or equivalent experience). 
  • Eager to discover and research new directions, continuous learner. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, “getting things done” attitude. 
  • Team player with great communication, writing, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and industry trends. 
  • Ability to think creatively and thrive in a constantly changing environment. 

 

  

Other Requirements:  

  • Cloud technologies such as Azure / Google Cloud / AWS. 
  • Have experience with the following technologies:  
  • Web development (React/Angular/Vue/…). 
  • Cloud (services, serverless, SQL/NOSQL). 
  • Backend development (C#/Java/…). 
  • Big data, data pipelines.
