comBusiness SummaryDeltek Product Strategy is a team with a passion for delivering solutions to power success for project-based businesses. We use research and innovation to build products and experiences that connect processes across the entire project lifecycle.
We are thought leaders who have a deep understanding of our customers, their industries and the challenges they face. Join us as we bring Deltek solutions to the market to help our customers achieve operational excellence. Position ResponsibilitiesAbout the RoleWe are seeking a bright, collaborative, and highly driven product manager to help modernize our SMB ERP offerings for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms through a product-led growth (PLG) approach.
As our market shifts toward self-service adoption and AI-enabled experiences, this role will own the end-to-end PLG journey — from how prospects discover our solutions to how they trial, purchase, onboard, adopt, and renew. This is a hands-on product role where success is measured by real user behavior, not plans or opinions. You will partner closely with UX, Engineering, Analytics, Product Marketing, and Customer Success to design experiences that help busy, non-technical users quickly see value, often while simultaneously focusing on their “day job”.
This role requires strong judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias toward experimentation and learning. What You’ll OwnPLG Funnel & ActivationOwn and define the critical path from signup → trial → first value → adoption → renewal.
Design and optimize signup, trial, onboarding, and purchase flows that remove friction for SMB AEC users. Instrument and analyze funnel performance to identify drop-offs, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Onboarding & First-Value ExperiencesBuild onboarding experiences that adapt to firm type, project complexity, and user role.
Design for users who are often mobile, time-constrained, and not digital natives. Optimize for the fastest path to a clear “aha moment” that demonstrates real business value. Experimentation & Continuous OptimizationEstablish and run a disciplined experimentation practice across the PLG funnel.
Formulate hypotheses, design experiments, define success criteria, and ship tests quickly. Balance short-term wins with larger structural improvements to the self-service experience. Maintain a visible backlog of experiments, learnings, and insights that inform product direction.
Cross-Functional Product LeadershipPartner closely with functional product managers, UX and Engineering to translate insights into buildable product capabilities. Collaborate with Analytics to define telemetry, activation metrics, and leading indicators of success. Coordinate with Product Marketing and Customer Success to ensure messaging, positioning, and product experiences align.
