Job Description

Data is one of the foundations of ING’s strategy to become one digital bank and Data Delivery and Platforms is the place where the global data strategy on how data is made available, transformed, and consumed gets defined, designed and delivered. Making high-quality data available across ING requires a world-class data platform as well as data delivery capabilities as a part of the broader CDMO organization.

The Global Chief Data Office (CDO) is aiming to take ING’s data delivery capabilities to the next level by further enhancing and implementing our data strategy that stipulates how we want to govern data throughout the bank. As Product Lead Data Products, you will report into the Product Area Lead Data  Delivery and you will be one of the key components to deliver on its purpose “speed up the data availability and ensure data quality” for ING.

Next to Tribe Global Data Delivery, the Global Data Delivery & Platforms covers Tribe Global Customer Data Management, Tribe Global Data Platform and set-up of an External Data Hub.

Roles and responsibilities

The Product Lead Data Products holds the following key responsibilities:

Data Products Strategy and Vision

  • Set and deploy the global standards for Data Products in close alignment with architects and Data Management (Governance, DQ)
  • Ensure conformity and interoperability amongst data products within ING
  • Enable faster Data Product implementation with tools and processes in close cooperation with the Data Platforms teams
  • Build a cross country and cross domain data products community

Data Products Delivery

  • Steer the Data Products roadmap for ING
  • Support the countries and domains with consultancy (solution outlines), modeling expertise and tooling
  • Enhance data products knowledge and capabilities within ING

Job requirements

  • 5+ years experience in Data Management and knowledge of Data Solutions (E.g. Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Streaming data and AI/ML)
  • Financial services domain knowledge, including expertise at the intersection of banking business, risk, finance and customer domains.
  • Experience working in a large (international) matrix organization spanning multiple segments and locations, dealing with global operating models and deployment across countries and/or hub
  • Team player collaborating easily with business stakeholders
  • Hands-on reliable executor
  • Multicultural mind-set and a highly customer-focused outlook
  • Proven track record in finding, growing and promoting talent
  • Academic Master’s degree
  • Excellent level of English
  • Excellent speech and presentation skills
