In addition to managing the data warehouse that serves as the backbone of the company’s analytics, we build and maintain standalone applications that are used by everyone at the company. This means that you will have the opportunity to build full stack applications and pipelines, untethered by the many of the development constraints of customer-facing systems. - Work with product engineers to design and implement streaming data pipelines for product and UX analytics in an SOA (services oriented architecture) environment
- Design, develop, and expose data models that power analytics for the entire company
- Own high impact and high visibility engineering projects end to end
- Build and extend internal tools that make the entire company more productive
What will help you succeed
- 3+ years professional experience as a data engineer or software engineer with an interest in moving into analytics and data infrastructure
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse Development (Snowflake, Redshirt, or Presto is preferred)
- SQL Scripting experience using RDBMS
- Python ETL development
- Experience with distributed systems, distributed data stores, data pipelines, and other tools in the AWS ecosystem
- Implementing ETL using open-source solutions (Airflow is preferred)
