(Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval)Starting Salary: $69,684Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm CDT on 12/22/2025 The CityKey Project Coordinator (Deputy Director) supports the daily operations, outreach, and growth of the Chicago CityKey program. In this role, you will:ESSENTIAL DUTIESServes as project or program supervisor, with responsibilities for managing internal and external partners. Track program data, prepare reports, and help improve processes and workflows.
Provide leadership and guidance to program staff, assist with training, and ensure strong customer service. Oversees staff and work operations to ensure established goals and objectives are met. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of program operations. Plans work schedules and priorities for project activities.
Represent the CityKey program at community events and with external partners. Support strategic initiatives, policy discussions, and partnership development alongside the Director.
Participates in preparing project or program operating budgets and monitors budget expenditures. Designs, implements, and monitors procedures utilized in program evaluation. Develops marketing strategies to encourage participation in City projects and programs; audits and approves contractor and consultant vouchers for payment.
Acts as a liaison with City departments, public and private agencies, and business organizations to secure commitments in providing services to program participants, sharing program information, and obtaining additional funding support. Monitors and provides direction to consultants engaged in administering program activities. Prepares narrative and statistical program status reports.
Attends community, civic, and business organization meetings to promote department programs or Citywide initiatives. Driving to and transporting program-related equipment to and from scheduled events.
Required in-person working with clients, internal and external customers. Performs related duties as required. NOTE: The list of essential duties is not intended to be inclusive; there may be other duties that are essential to particular positions within the class.
Address: 121 N LaSalle St, Rm 107Shift: Monday-FridayHours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Some weekends, early mornings, and evenings required)THIS POSITION IS IN CAREER SERVICE Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training, and Experience· Seven (7) years of program administration work experience, OR· Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a directly related field, PLUS five (5) years of program administration work experience, OR· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a directly related field, PLUS three (3) years of program administration work experience, OR· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree or higher in Public or Business Administration, Social Sciences, Planning, or a directly related field, PLUS two (2) years of program administration work experienceLicensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications· Must have a valid driver’s license· Must be able to driveEducational & Employment Verification:Please be advised that if you are selected to be hired, you must provide, upon request, adequate information regarding your education and employment history as it relates to the qualifications of the position for which you are applying.
