Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Project Management Office is seeking a Project Manager who will manage and deliver complex, multi-dimensional projects in an Agile environment. Working with the Data Products and Engineering teams, you will operate in a matrix environment, managing cross-functional projects that enable and support business goals.
As the Project Manager, you will be directly accountable for the project’s results – using Agile best practices to plan, execute, and deliver. You will lead, guide and motivate your agile teams to deliver strategic initiatives with operational excellence.
Working with the Identity & Personalization and Analytics Framework teams, this role requires strong communication and relationship building skills to effectively manage projects with diverse teams, key stakeholders, and senior executives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies – daily standups, iteration planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews
- Communicate project status and relevant information (including project meeting notes, decisions)
- Manage project and sprint scope and unplanned requirements
- Own the communication of team capacity, and align stakeholders to drive trade-off conversations
- Resolve impediments and build consensus when conflicts arise
- Manage, assess, communicate, and improve project and team health using qualitative and quantitative measures
- Understand, advocate, and execute against business goals, driving projects and OKR delivery
- Collaborate with cross functional team members (product, design, engineering) to define goals and align strategy
- Identify project timelines, milestones, owners and manage execution against of milestones and key targets
- Coordinate with multiple teams (and project managers), driving alignment on project delivery
- Ensure transparency through communication and collaboration with all levels of business and technology
- Create and maintain project and team artifacts/documentation
- Identify and manage project risks, implement mitigation plans to minimize impact
- Evoke an appropriate sense of urgency around priorities within and across teams
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of direct experience in a Project Manager role directly involved with managing and delivering technology projects
- 3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master capacity with Agile methodologies
- 3+ years of coaching teams on Agile best practices
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent oral and written communications; ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences
- Experience in establishing Agile and Project Management processes in forming environments
- Strong problem-solving/facilitation skills
- Industry experience in new/interactive digital media and publishing
- Experience operating and influencing others in a matrix organization
