Our challenge
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jersey City, NJ is $85k – $95k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:

Design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and develop test plans.

Perform functional, regression, performance, and load testing of software applications.

Maintain and enhance existing automation test suites to ensure maximum coverage and efficiency.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and testing procedures.

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.

Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in QA automation.
Requirements:
You are:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.

Strong knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) and automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Appium).

Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
It would be great if you also had:

Experience in API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) is a plus.

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and technologies.
