Research Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our Investment Banking team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to support our investment banking activities, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough industry and company research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
2. Analyze financial statements, regulatory filings, and other relevant data sources to extract valuable insights.
3. Build comprehensive financial models, including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
4. Prepare detailed research reports, pitch books, and other client-facing materials to support investment banking transactions.
5. Monitor industry developments, market trends, and economic indicators to identify potential opportunities or risks for clients.
6. Collaborate with investment bankers, associates, and analysts to support various aspects of transaction execution.
7. Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing subject matter expertise and analytical support.
8. Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, accounting standards, and valuation methodologies.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
2. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
3. Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills, with proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
4. Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data accurately.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
9. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is a plus.
10. Prior experience in investment banking, equity research, or a related field is preferred.
