Your Impact 

As a Research Analyst, Revenue Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in supporting our revenue optimization strategies through meticulous data collection and analysis, insightful reporting, and actionable recommendations. You will collaborate closely with Strategy and Sales leadership to provide visibility and awareness of commercial performance and drive informed go-to-market decision-making.

What You’ll Do

Reports to: Senior Director, Revenue Intelligence

  • Perform market research describing the history, structure, functions, powers and sources of empowerment, and other relevant nuances for our strategic customer bases
    • US State & Local Law Enforcement (incl Campus LE)
    • US State & Local Justice Systems
    • US State & Local Corrections
    • US State & Local Fire & EMS
    • US Federal Agencies
    • International Public Safety Customers
      • Law Enforcement
      • Justice
      • Corrections
      • Fire/EMS
    • Enterprise Markets
  • Review the “Axon Sales Rules of Engagement” and critique the RoEs or adjust market knowledge accordingly to harden GTM strategy by market segment and function
    • May be change in segmentation, a new/adjusted enumeration of users (e.g., budgeted vs. active personnel), etc.
  • Collect, consolidate, reconcile, and document sources of granular, external data enumerating the market by segment into individual purchasing bodies (“accounts”) and staff by role/function (“users”)
    • Include useful market/network/demographic information (location, jurisdiction, governing body, universal IDs, network relationships, etc.)
  • Match and reconcile this detailed market data with internal reflections of the same market (i.e., Salesforce)
    • Identify and merge duplicate account records for a single purchasing body
    • Identify sub-account records that must remain distinct and mark them into parent-child relationships
  • Result for each market segment should be a clean, accurate, and record-unique reflection of each market segment, and user counts by function within the internal systems
  • Develop and institute governance plans for regular updates to the data and intake/review of proposed changes

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Research Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a revenue-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, market dynamics, and revenue management principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear and actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with revenue management systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) is a plus.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 52,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 78,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
