Research and Development Project Manager and Data Analyst

Would you like to implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet the scientific application, visualization, modeling, computational science, software, and statistical support to meet the needs and requirements of government and partner user communities including other Federal and state agencies?
We are looking for a Project Manager to manage a team dedicated to supporting an internationally recognized and federally maintained ecotoxicology knowledgebase and associated applications (e.g., CCTE GIS, Factotum, etc.) used both by federal agencies and the public. Support will include providing technical expertise analyzing data, managing data, building models and developing various as-needed applications. In this role you will provide day-to-day management of projects from concept to completion including organizing, directing, planning and production of all aspects associated with project delivery. You will work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting and manage tactical planning using resources like MS Project and regular interactions with subject matter experts and other stakeholders. You will influence senior clients on current and future operations as well strategic direction for these critical ecotoxicology systems.

You Have:
- 7+ years of experience in project management and data analytics
- 7+ years of experience leading complex programs and projects for federal customers
- 7+ years of experience working with stakeholders in the research community such as Principal Investigators or scientists
- 7+ years of experience supporting Federal Government program
- Ability to assess and articulate business value of technology investments to technical and non-technical business stakeholders equally
- Experience in script-based data mining, data extraction, data curation, data cleaning and processing in scientific processing language such as Python or R
- Experience collecting, curating, and organizing data in databases on exposure factors related to chemical exposure
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams, especially with agile-based methodologies and project management software such as MS Project, Jira, or Confluence
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience leading or supporting toxicology related projects
- Experience surveying emerging technology markets to both recommend cutting-edge solutions to end customers while creating long-term sustainable partnerships
- Knowledge of EPA policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Quality Assurance (QA/QC) workflows and document development
- Knowledge of the Factotum application
- Ability to evaluate and identify strategies for integration of data in a manner useful to researchers and risk assessors
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Environmental Health, Public Health, Exposure Science, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree a plus
- PMI or PMP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
