Job Description

The Computer Science Department at the University of Virginia is recruiting highly motivate and innovative candidates to collaborate on projects that involve Cryptography, Economics and Blockchains. We welcome candidates with experience in areas including theory of computation, AI, and economics. The successful applicant will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop decentralized market platforms to allocate scarce resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with diverse team members on interdisciplinary projects in economics and computer science.
  • Lead manuscripts for submission to journals and conferences.
  • Present research findings at seminars, conferences, and scientific venues.
  • Develop innovative and robust market platforms to allocate scarce resources.
  • Perform research in combinatorial decentralized auctions.
  • Support grant/proposal writing as appropriate.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates will have a Ph.D. in computer science, economics, operations research or related field by the start date. They should have demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following fields as evidenced by publications in top-tier journals and conferences or software products: computer science, economics, operations research.
