Job Description

The Department of Epidemiology is recruiting a Research Data Analyst in Biomarkers and Aging Among People with HIV to work on multiple research projects in the area of aging and HIV.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data quality review.
  • Data cleaning.
  • Data management.
  • Analyzing data.
  • Attending study meetings.

**Opportunities to co-author papers, present work at professional meetings, and develop new first-author projects are possible. Opportunity for the development of a Master’s thesis or Doctoral dissertation, first author manuscript, and for a fulltime position following graduation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
  • Three years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD Degree in progress in Biostatistics, biomedical engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience working with machine learning, targeted machine learning, or deep learning.
  • Experience with multi-omics or longitudinal data is a plus, although not required.
  • Proficiency using one or more statistical software programs, such as Python, R, etc.
