Research Engineer II (Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing)

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer II. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assess requirements then transform into preliminary designs and prototypes.

• Define and execute the qualifying criteria of every development stage.

• Coordinate prototype manufacturing and solution deployment.

• Perform stringent risk and root cause analyses to ensure high-quality.

• Optimize development’s processes as well as costs.

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor and Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields.

• Proficient in kinematic/motion analysis.

• Proficient in SOLIDWORKS

• Solid ownership, user-centered, and quality oriented.

• Solid experience in designing robotic device/mechatronic system.

• Any of the followings would be plus:

  • Experience in designing and manufacturing consumer products.

  • Proficient in converting non-parametric model to parametric model.

  • Experience in selection of DC motors.
