Introduction to the job
Being a Data Engineer in our Security groups will keep you continuously on edge! You will be engaged with building a ‘security data lake’ for our data scientists and stakeholders.
Role and responsibilities
As a Security Data Engineer, you are responsible for designing and building data systems, ingesting and processing the raw data and develop and maintain data pipelines. You will be responsible for collection/ingestion and integration of data from various internal sources, into the data lake and systems optimized for reporting and analytics. We are working with multiple platforms and technologies. Main focus will be on Azure data lakes, yet we also work with Splunk and GCP.
You are also responsible to ensure awareness of the latest technology to maintain data sets. You also test these datasets and work with various stakeholders to convert the wishes within the organization into datasets that can be effectively read and used by Data Analysts & Data Scientists, among others.

You have a natural interest in different data and cloud technologies and tools such as CI/CD, Github, Docker and Kubernetes are not unknown to you. If you’ve worked in Spark or Snowflake, that would be a plus!
to summarize, a grasp of your responsibilities:
- At least 4 years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role in which you work with Big Data;
- Designing, building, troubleshooting, and monitoring ETL/ELT pipelines;
- Understanding of core cloud concepts – Data storage, Compute, Data connections, APIs, and Security on cloud;
- Preferrable knowledge in stream technology (Kafka).
