Position SummaryThe Senior Accessibility Engineer supports the development, deployment, and maintenance of digital systems, with a focus on web architecture, accessibility compliance, and automated infrastructure. This position plays a key role in building and maintaining accessible, secure, and scalable web applications and ensuring technical reliability across multiple platforms and environments.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, React, and WordPress. Implement and automate accessibility testing. Conduct cross-platform and assistive technology testing to ensure performance and accessibility.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required:Bachelor Degree within Computer Science or closely related field of studyMinimum 5 years of professional IT experience within IT Development which includes demonstrated experience in developing and/or modifying new and existing applications, including requirement analysis, design, code, test, debug, implementation and maintenance.
Demonstrated experience with manual and automated Accessibility Testing (WAVE, Axe-Core, Editorially)Demonstrated proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5/SCSS, and ReactPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with accessibility testing tools. Strong technical troubleshooting and debugging skills. Experience with open-source web accessibility platforms.
Familiarity with AI-powered tools and workflows. Contributions to accessibility-related projects and initiatives.
