As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Veo, you’ll use your technical expertise to design and build the foundational datasets that power our company’s decision-making. You’ll implement data warehouse best practices to transform raw data into trusted, documented, and easily consumable data products that serve as a single source of truth.
You’ll partner with stakeholders to deeply understand their context, then architect data models and metrics that facilitate better decisions. You’ll bring your experience with dbt, data modeling, and SQL to elevate our analytics engineering standards, ensure knowledge sharing, and build scalable solutions that reduce complexity.

What will you do: 

  • Design, build, and maintain foundational data models, powering decision-making at Veo
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business context and decisions
  • Implement warehouse best practices to transform raw data into reliable, tested, and well-documented data products
  • Shape analytics engineering standards across the team through best practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
  • Build scalable solutions using dbt, SQL, and appropriate data tools while reducing complexity
  • Proactively review and improve data quality, testing, and documentation
  • Contributing to the evolution of our analytics engineering practices and processes

What could you bring:

  • Expertise in SQL and dbt
  • Experience applying best practices in data modeling and software engineering best practices (CI/CD, Git, testing)
  • Familiarity with orchestration, scheduling, and extractions tools (Airflow, Dagster, Stitch, Airbyte, etc.)
  • Motivated by a technical curiosity, with a practical approach
  • A mindset of caring about value created with data for the end users, both internal and external
  • Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Understanding the internals of modern data warehouses (ideally BigQuery) is advantageous
  • Comprehensive verbal and written English communication skills
