What you bring

  • 4+ years of experience in data/analytics/software engineering (Data Analysts or Scientists with demonstrated analytics engineering skills also welcome)
  • Top-Tier written & oral communication skills with the ability to adapt and explain complex technical topics for less technical audiences
  • Experience with SQL, ETL, data modelling, and at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Python, C++, C#, Scala, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing and documentation
  • Working knowledge of dbt as well as a data pipeline orchestration tool
  • A pragmatic mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions and rolling up the sleeves to make an impact, and a desire to collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts & Business Users
  • Writes and speaks fluent English

Nice To Have:

  • Startup/Scaleup Experience, AWS Knowledge, Comfort with distributed & remote teams, EMEA Location, SalesForce Data Experience, Hands-On familiarity with a BI Tool such as Tableau/Looker
  • It’s not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain databases and automated data processes, leveraging Python libraries, Scripting and SQL, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and accuracy of data across various platforms and systems
  • Merging, Cleaning & Aggregating data from different tools & platforms (e.g. Funnel.io, SalesForce, HubSpot, Ad Platforms such as Meta) to create an end-to-end unified picture of Sales, Marketing & Revenue Analytics
  • Building & Maintaining internal tooling and data aggregations for effective reporting & visualizing of KPIs in dashboards, particularly around time-series metrics
  • Liaising productively with Data Analysts and business teams to ensure that data products & solutions built are not only technically sound but highly effective and widely useful
  • Bring polished data to Data Analysts and eventually to decision-makers, building pipelines, automations, aggregations and transformations that enable useful insights into Sales, Marketing & Revenue Performance
  • Collaborate closely with our data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data reliability, scalability, and accuracy

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide – here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $42,750 USD to $96,200 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
