We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Operations Analytics team, specifically focusing on the ride-hailing side of the business.

About us

With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it’s all thanks to our people.

We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!

About the role

This role will involve scaling our data tooling and optimizing our systems to handle massive growth across 50+ countries and 500+ cities. You’ll be key to ensuring that we leverage a single source of truth while scaling a global Weekly Business Review (WBR) tool and optimizing how we expose data to Looker.

You will work closely with key stakeholders across various domains to enable data-driven decision-making at scale, enforce best practices for data processes, and help operationalize complex analytics systems. This role requires excellent technical abilities, particularly with Presto, DBT, SQL, Python, and Databricks, combined with strong stakeholder management skills.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and monitoring of KPIs, aligning with business objectives across operational domains.
  • Implement automated workflows and optimize manual data processes using tools like SQL, Python, and DBT.
  • Design and maintain dashboards in Looker, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.
  • Conduct advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, to uncover insights and drive business improvements.
  • Standardize best practices for data exposure, ensuring reliable access to data for all teams.
  • Mentor junior analysts and engineers, fostering cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decisions.

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a similar field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with proven expertise in KPI development, data modelling, and dashboard creation.
  • You are proficient in Presto, DBT, SQL, Python, and Databricks (ML Frameworks are considered as a plus).
  • You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working cross-functionally across teams.
  • You are experienced in automation, scaling tools and scripting for data processing and workflow optimisation.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!

Why you’ll love it here:

  • Play a direct role in shaping the future of mobility.
  • Impact millions of customers and partners in 600+ cities across 50+ countries.
  • Work in fast-moving autonomous teams with some of the smartest people in the world.
  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Get a rewarding salary and stock option package that lets you focus on doing your best work.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working in a hybrid mode with a minimum of 2 days in the office each week to foster strong connections and teamwork.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.

*Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.
