RSM USI is looking for an experienced professional to join our rapidly growing Data Analytics practice. As a Data Analytics Sr Associate, you will be responsible for leading and collaborating within the Business Intelligence Data & Analytics practice, regionally and nationally, to serve & support clients.  You will help our clients design and build out modern cloud data platforms on Microsoft Azure that support business intelligence, AI, advanced analytics and data science.      Required Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud data architecture and data integration patterns (Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, Synapse Pipelines, etc.) and storage and processing (Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake
  • Lead multiple engagements to design and develop data solutions using data modeling techniques (such as file based, normalized or denormalized, star schemas, schema on read, Vault data model, graphs) for mixed workloads
  • Architect and design data implementation patterns and engineered solutions using native cloud capabilities (data ingestion and integration, data storage, data processing, master data management, data consumption, visualization, etc.)
  • Lead teams in development of cloud data migration/integration/warehouse plans, roadmap, success metrics, and to assess of client’s enterprise (on-premises and on-cloud) data systems.
  • Assess, capture, and translate complex business issues and requirements into structured analytics use cases, including rapid learning of industry domain/client dynamics and development of effective work stream plans
  • Contribute to the successful execution of engagements, by raising risks, collaborating, and working as a strong team member
  • Collaborating and working effectively with consultants and support the pursuit of business development opportunities
  • Help clients understand the broader D&A journey and implications, participate in the process of solution design and the development of advanced D&A capabilities
  • Lead, mentor, manage and collaborate with the team, internally and externally, in-person and virtually
  • Support the consulting sales process including meeting with prospective clients to understand needs, create estimates and to develop proposals and statements of work

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university with working knowledge of topics such as mathematics, statistics, project management, economics, engineering, computer science, machine learning, operations, decision science, or cloud computing
  • 2-5 years (preferred) and/or process-specific experience in data & analytics, including strategy and transformation, data modeling, design, and implementation; Understanding of general landscape for data science and big data opportunities; deep understanding of process-specific landscape for opportunities
  • Experience implementing enterprise data concepts such as Master Data Management, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Experience architecting solutions to solve business problems using cloud data services (Azure preferred) in combination with building data pipelines, data streams, and system integration
  • Experience implementing production cloud analytics platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Experienced with data modeling concepts and techniques to design and develop data solutions (file based, normalized or denormalized, star schemas, schema on read, etc…) for mixed workloads
  • Understanding of one or more is a big plus: CI/CD, cloud devops, containers (Kubernetes/Docker, etc.), Python/PySpark/JavaScript;
  • Understanding of SQL, report generation using visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI, programming using Python/Spark
  • Possessing a certification(s) in one of the following is a big plus – AWS/Azure/GCP data engineering

Experience and expertise in two or more of the following:

  • Data Ingestion and Storage:  Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Pipelines, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB
  • Big Data Analytics. Preferably in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, and Snowflake
  • Data Governance, Data Catalog, Master Data Management
  • Preferred, but not required, support clients with agile, master data management (MDM) or data governance training or credentials
  • Strong written and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to business, and to explain   industry-specific processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resource
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Office Suite, Teams, Visio, Cascade, Smartsheet, etc.
