Senior Associate- Generative AI Proof of Concepts Data Protection Review

The opportunity

Our business is highly regulated and EY is a complex, matrixed organization. Managing risk is of paramount importance to our brand and reputation, and our Risk Management team works side-by-side with the business to do this. Our aim is to enable responsible growth and that means working with the business to identify, monitor and manage risk, and consult and advise. Through oversight of key risk issues and processes related to Risk, Monitoring and Compliance we help maximize public trust and enable EY to responsibly provide excellent client service.

The opportunity is to be a Senior Associate within the GDS Risk Management – Data Protection supporting Global Data Protection team with assessment of potential data risks posed by Gen AI PoCs and with subsequent governance of the use of that data in EY’s Trusted Data Fabric environment.

Working with Data Protection risk review of AI technology presents a compelling opportunity to experience the shape of evolving AI systems, ensuring they operate safely, ethically, and effectively. It’s a critical role at the forefront of the most futuristic technology where you can mitigate potential threats, protect data privacy, and drive responsible innovation, thereby contributing directly to a trusted and secure AI-enabled future.

Your key responsibilities

• Assess and conclude independently on the compliance with a defined Data Protection guidelines for Generative AI Proof of Concepts
• Evaluate and summarize assessment results and propose remediation activities
• Document findings and observations to contribute to continuous learning/improvement and inform potential enhancements to procedures, processes and controls
• Participate in periodic reviews and governance of the use of that data in EY’s Trusted Data Fabric environment.

Skills and attributes for success

Technical attributes:

• Understanding of conventional and emerging technology concepts, interest in Gen AI related topics
• Experience with risk and compliance (e.g., risk assessment, control frameworks, audits, and/or testing)
• Basic understanding of data management and willingness to invest time in further certification in Data Protection space
• Experience in Technology Risk is a plus

Management attributes: 

• Good communication skills
• Personal agility and curiosity as the process is and will continue to evolve

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience or background in either quality, risk management, cybersecurity 

Nice to have

• IAPP certifications (either CIPP/E, CIPP/US and/or CIPM)
