What You’ll Do
Are you ready to shape the future of artificial intelligence applications at Spotter? We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer, AI, who will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our AI-driven platform. This role requires a combination of robust technical skills and a passion for innovative AI technologies to build scalable backend systems that support advanced text and image generation capabilities.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable backend systems tailored for AI applications.
- Optimize existing backend systems to enhance speed, scalability, and adaptability.
- Work closely with data scientists and MLOps engineers to deploy machine learning models into production, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI systems are aligned with the company’s goals while maintaining cutting-edge performance.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core services, ensuring resiliency through monitoring and alerting capabilities.
Who You Are
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a significant focus on AI-driven applications.
- Strong experience in building microservices using NodeJS and related technologies (such as Express or NestJS).
- Familiarity with the latest LLM models and APIs.
- Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Well-versed in handling various database systems like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and data lakes, with a solid understanding of data architecture and API management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex system integration issues.
Additional Valued Skills
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with YouTube APIs and YouTube/video performance data.
- Experience with large-scale systems design and distributed computing.
- Active engagement with the broader AI and tech community, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100K-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
