Job Description

Within the Groupon Transformation Analytics team, three critical pillars drive our success – Keboola for data transformation, the transition to Google’s BigQuery from Teradata, and Tableau for data visualization.

Your role in this dynamic team involves crafting visually appealing and insightful Tableau dashboards (Tableau is a necessity !), creating data transformations within the Keboola ecosystem, and utilizing your SQL expertise for ad-hoc analysis to bring valuable insights to the forefront.

We have added a few new members to the tem and are still looking for one more person to take charge of the Marketing stream.

💪 You’ll be spending your time on the following:

  • Create and Maintain Reports: Develop standardized and centrally managed performance reports.
  • Decision Support: Collaborate with various departments to analyze processes, sales efforts, and campaigns, supporting decision-making through analytics.
  • Stakeholder Support: Ensure efficient adoption of reports by providing ongoing support to stakeholders.
  • Analytical Insights: Provide insights on performance, influencing strategy and priorities.
  • KPI Definition: Partner with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and maintain financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Data Quality: Proactively identify gaps and errors in data, working towards improvements.
  • ETL Processes: Develop pipelines and ETL processes to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes for pipelines, reporting, and analytical methodologies.
  • Best Practices: Drive adoption of best practices in the analytical function.
  • Supporting Team Growth: Mentor less experienced specialists, actively sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Translate complex data analysis into concise, business-context-driven communications influencing decision-making for business leaders.
  • Project Management: Lead projects end-to-end, managing diverse stakeholders.

📝 We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Ideally 5+ years of work experience within an analyst role, ideally in a sales driven environment.
  • Work experience in an international environment and are fluent in English language.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (Teradata and BigQuery are desirable) with strong analytical skills is mandatory.
  • Existing experience with Tableau and/or other reporting design tools.
  • Knowledge of Keboola (or ETL) is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of (commercial) finance. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated team player who can succeed in a dynamic fast-paced work environment.
  • The option to be flexible in order to connect with peers all over the world.
