Overview
Deutsche Bank has set for itself ambitious goals in the areas of Sustainable Finance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Risk Mitigation as well as Corporate Sustainability.
As Climate Change throws new Challenges and opportunities, the Bank has set out to invest in developing a Sustainability Technology Platform, Sustainability data products and various sustainability applications which will aid the Bank’s goals.
As part of this initiative, we are building an exciting global team of technologists who are passionate about Climate Change, want to contribute to greater good leveraging their Technology Skillset in Cloud / Hybrid Architecture.
As part of this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that empower our business users with actionable insights.

What You’ll Do
-
Partner with product management group and other business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design effective BI solutions

Design and develop complex data models, leveraging expertise in relational and dimensional modeling techniques, while developing data pipeline processes to efficiently extract data from GCS or other file system, clean and transform it, and load it into the data warehouse. (Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Big Query, Oracle)

Build interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using (Tableau, Looker), as well as implement robust security measures to ensure data access control and compliance with regulations

Troubleshoot and resolve complex reporting issues, optimizing performance for efficient data retrieval

Mentor and guide junior BI developers within the team

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices and documentation standards, and stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the BI landscape
Skills You’ll Need
-
Moderate experience as a BI Developer or related field
-
Proven experience in designing and developing data models for BI systems
-
Expertise in Ansi Structured Query Language (SQL) /T-SQL /PL-SQL for data manipulation and querying
-
Experience with data pipeline tools and methodologies (GCP Data flow, Python)

Proficiency in a BI platform (Tableau, Looker)
Skills That Will Help You Excel

Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively

Experience in Sustainable Finance / ESG Risk / CSRD / Regulatory Reporting will be a plus
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $85,000 to $120,750. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
