We are looking for a Senior Claims Analytic Expert (m/f/d), based in Munich or London.
 
Your Team 
The Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) line of business of Allianz Commercial creates innovative tailored structured insurance, captive reinsurance, and other non-traditional risk management solutions for a wide range of corporate and financial clients globally. We specialize in helping our customers mitigate their most complex risks with bespoke multi-year and multi-line agreements covering a broad range of risks, leveraging our expertise in alternative risk transfer and the global capabilities of the Allianz Group.

The Impact You Will Have 
We are in search of a Senior Claims Data Analyst to lead projects focused on enhancing data awareness and claims data. This role involves creating and maintaining a claims visualization report for the ART LoB Claims department and stakeholders, providing insights to improve efficiency, resourcing, planning, and claims performance. Additionally, the analyst will support the development of marketing materials and trend analysis to help understand the complexities of sub-business divisions within the ART LoB claims portfolio (e.g., Capital Solutions, Captive Fronting, Structured Insurance).

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Proactively identify unknown claims patterns and correlations using predictive analysis and big data methods in ART LoB Claims.
• Support implementation and maintenance of ART LoB Claims trend analysis, NatCat claims impact overviews, and status reports.
• Analyze global ART LoB Claims data in collaboration with Claims, UW, Actuarial, and other stakeholders.
• Provide strategic KPI dashboards and benchmarks for steering the ART LoB Claims portfolio and recommend business measures to senior management.
• Build and maintain PowerBI claims visualization reports and create related documentation, including user manuals.
• Manage and support ART LoB claims data integration within AGCS, liaising with stakeholders for data coordination and implementation.
• Contribute to claims input for financial closing, business planning, Cat Risk Management, and other cross-functional tasks.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Strong analytical skills for handling complex data from multiple sources and resolving issues proactively.
• Proficient IT skills, with expertise in identifying, advising, and implementing IT solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, Excel, and programming (preferably Python; SQL and R are also valuable).
• Experience in international industrial insurance and/or reinsurance, with a focus on claims processing.
• Background in quantitative fields like Finance, Actuarial Science, IT, or strong foundations in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or Analytics.
• International experience with well-developed negotiation skills, tact, and diplomacy.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable business insights.
