Position Overview:

Fractal is looking for a proactive and driven Retail Senior Consultant to join our Decision Science Consulting team in the Bay Area, California. In this role, you will play a vital role as the client and team lead with hands-on involvement in project management, business interpretation and application of solutions, client communication, insights/results delivery. You will collaborate with your team and peers by developing resourcing plans, managing revenue goals, and contributing to new business development.

S/He is expected to work directly with the client in a fast-paced working environment to address their day-to-day analytics needs. They will need to address business problems by incorporating the business context to design and develop solutions that leverage statistical & advanced analytics methodologies. They should be able to form hypotheses and develop models to support decision making. They will be expected to build in efficiencies through standardization and automation. They will also be responsible for building a data infrastructure, identifying the various customer journeys and measuring the impact of marketing campaigns

Responsibilities:

  • Working with onshore/ Offshore consulting peers in solving data & analytics use cases for market X segment, comprehensive design thinking, business problem qualification, liaison with senior stakeholders in aligning the results & insights

  • Lead a 5 – 7+ member delivery unit of Data scientists, Decision scientists, Data engineers, and developers to deliver modeling insights and platforms

  • Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-quality solutions and insightful analysis on a variety of projects ranging in both complexity and scope

  • Good consultative selling to build proposals, present GTM decks, and showcase demos to client teams to win new business with existing or new clients

  • Deliver value for our client through advanced analytics work

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in statistics, computer science, engineering, informatics, data science, or related field; additional business degree is a plus

  • 7+ yrs overall experience with at least 4+ years of hands on experience in running data analytics projects

  • Strong background in Business analytics

  • Strong Modelling background with hands-on past experience in building Regression, Bayesian, and time series models ; strong knowledge of Python, Pyspark, GCP, Bigquery

  • Consulting/Problem solving with exposure to Price & Promotion, Inventory Management, Time Series Forecasting, RGM, Market Mix Modelling

  • Good context & familiarity with the Retail landscape

  • Skills in storyboarding, problem-solving, and insights generation are a must

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $118,000 – $160,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.  You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.  In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.   The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
