About the Role (your why)  

The Senior Consultant – Data and BI plays a crucial role in delivering Data, Analytics, and Business Intelligence projects. The role is responsible for providing specialized insights and guidance on data management, analytics, and BI strategies, utilizing high-level technical skills to design, implement, and optimize data solutions. They lead and contribute to the successful execution of projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards. Additionally, the senior consultant works closely with clients and team members to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions, while staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the field to continuously improve and innovate solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of these domains and the ability to apply advanced technical skills to solve complex problems.

What you’ll do   

  • Apply data science techniques, including machine learning, statistical modelling and artificial intelligence to provide detailed analysis of our cloud platforms and services.
  • Contribute to managing the data streams that support our business to provide data insight.
  • Utilise your coding skills and developer driven mindset to establish processes to use our data to create meaningful and useful business insights.
  • Helping to ensure that the data insights our teams depend on to be successful are well architected, properly implemented, always available and highly accurate.
  • Gather user requirements for new data-driven reports and artifacts and translate these requirements into actionable data-driven outcomes.
  • Explore options to improve efficiency through the development and integration of automation in how we access and consume our data.

What you’ll bring  

  • Proven experience with designing, managing and supporting data architectures and interdependencies.
  • An excellent understanding of data methodologies and a deep technical understanding of Infrastructure Products LOB services.
  • Have a strong background in cloud computing technologies, networking, cybersecurity, and data centre services, along with knowledge of Python, Java, SQL, SQL Reporting, and PowerBI.
  • Advanced problem-solving and consulting skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and align them with client business goals and objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide and influence senior management effectively.
  • A good understanding of Azure and AWS services is desirable.
