- 5+ years working with Data & AI cloud technology including storage, database, analytics, and AIML services.
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 5+ experience analyzing sales territories and developing effective sales strategy
- Bachelor’s degree

Development Specialist!
Key job responsibilities
As a Data & AI Business Development Specialist, you will own growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS Data & AI services for the US-Federal market. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS Data & AI offerings. Business Development Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for a specific AWS service. As a BD Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical go-to-market plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities. You will also identify gaps in AWS products or feature sets based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.
A day in the life
You will work directly with customers to understand their business objectives and develop a plan to use AWS Data & AI services to deliver the mission. You will scale your efforts by developing sales plays and go to market motions that define solutions to common customer scenarios. Your scale motions will be used by AWS account team and partners to effectively communicate how AWS can help customers achieve their goals through Data & AI solutions. We will also gather customer feedback to inform new investments in AWS services to meet emerging customer demand.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
