A Little More About The role:We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support our growing analytics needs across the business. We’re looking for a dynamic analyst to help drive the quantitative and qualitative analysis that will help drive the management and growth of the company. Join us as we reinvent the way people purchase and access healthcare. You Will:· Assist in developing analytics for areas across the business, including but not limited to: Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Customer Experience and Clinical. You will play a key role in analyzing trends, identifying new opportunities, and translating insights into actionable solutions to enhance business performance and member experiences at Gravie.· Design and perform diverse ad hoc quantitative and qualitative analyses to support management and growth of key areas of the business, using tools such as SQL, Python and R.· Use your analytical and communication skills to help tell the story of the data to non-technical audiences.· Ask and answer the right questions, including: How are we doing? What should we continue doing? What should we stop doing? What should we start doing in the future?· Transform sometimes complex and large data sources into a usable format that can be used in conjunction with existing tools to show meaningful results.· Employ rigorous quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of all analytical outputs.· Develop creative solutions to new and emerging questions.· Collaborate closely with others on your team and across the company to deliver results.· Provide guidance to other team members on quantitative and qualitative best practices. You Bring:· 3+ years working in a data analytics or data science role, preferably in the healthcare or health insurance industry· Strong analytical aptitude and problem solving skills· Quantitative expertise, with a strong background in statistics and/or mathematics· Advanced SQL, statistical programming (Python, R, etc.), and Microsoft Excel skills· Experience using Redshift, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Athena, and other data-adjacent AWS services for data analytics projects· Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims data· Excellent attention to detail· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical results to tangible business actions· Habits of excellent organization, time management, and responsiveness· A flexible attitude and ability to work independently with limited direction· An appetite for learning and quickly putting what you learn into practice· Demonstrated commitment to core Gravie competencies of being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic and results oriented· Passion about building impactful health benefit products and delivering amazing customer experiences· College degree, technical certification or equivalent experience required EXTRA CREDIT:· Experience using Tableau or other business intelligence tools Competitive pay is standard.
