Meet the team behind this journey

DeepL is on a journey to strengthen our data culture and be more data-driven in our decision making, across the entire revenue organisation. This role will be a steward of our data culture: helping educate others to be self-sufficient and establishing best practices that help us scale.

The Senior Revenue Analyst will develop and maintain solutions (reports, visualisations, dashboards) to bring attention to our key metrics (KPIs/OKRs) and surface insights that align with DeepL’s business strategy and vision. The Analyst will be responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and security of solutions, to ensure timely and accurate outputs that inform data-driven decisions.

The Analyst will work closely with our Revenue Leaders, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Finance, and Business Technology teams. They will work cross-functionally to ensure that we have a defined source of truth and are aligned on the metrics that we report across the business. The primary focus will be to establish a rhythm of business cadence for our leadership team, and provide operational reports so that our Sales and Marketing leaders can run a high-performing business with confidence.

Requirements

Your responsibilities

  • Analyze data, build and maintain various dashboards to support our Sales and Marketing functions (forecasting, pipeline generation, conversion, etc)

  • Collaborate with team members to collect business requirements, define successful outcomes, and design beautiful dashboards

  • Partner with Finance during our annual planning cycle to analyse the business and set meaningful targets (budget, headcount, ARR, retention rates, etc)

  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned by management

  • Evaluate sales compensation plans and incentives to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives; ensure sales bookings data is reported accurately and timely each month to meet critical monthly commission payout deadlines

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics

  • Partner with Business Technology teams to assist in developing dashboards that drive data-based decision-making. Collaborate on data science projects that inform our long-term thinking

  • Convert and validate raw data into clear, meaningful information and tell a story by creatively displaying details in charts, graphs, and slides.

  • Validate and ensure data accuracy from various data sources in various forms (Salesforce, Hubspot, and proprietary systems)

  • Communicate dashboards to stakeholders/teams to promote data access and confidence; maintain an open feedback loop for continuous improvement to meet user needs

  • Help educate teammates/colleagues on the use of our business intelligence tool(s) to foster a culture of self-service

About you

  • Extensive experience in data management, operations or business analyst role

  • Advanced proficiency with business intelligence platforms/tools: performing analysis, building reports, creating dashboards, etc.

  • Outstanding analytical skills in order to interpret stakeholders’ business needs and to translate them into application and operational requirements and analytical problem solving.

  • Experience with reporting and dashboard development using Salesforce Reports and CRM Analytics.

  • Intermediate applied knowledge of SQL

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; proficient in formulas, vlookups, pivot tables, macros

  • Proficiency in Tableau/PowerBi/Thoughtspot or another business intelligence tool – a plus

  • Self-motivated, exercise independent judgement, and take action on it. Skilled in working independently to meet goals and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills to interact with senior stakeholders and determine reporting requirements. Ability to convey technical information and concepts to non-technical colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management, colleagues and customers

  • Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment, meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects

  • Ability to multitask across broad range of responsibilities, prioritize and meet deadlines

Even better if you also have…

  • Past experience with integration technologies i.e. ETL, data migration and packaged applications

  • Experience with data warehouses and data lakesSalesforce.com database knowledge; Administrator certification a bonus

  • Some knowledge of Python
