Senior Data Analyst
Job Description

We are seeking an analyst with technical expertise in SQL and Excel with strong business acumen and visualization intuition. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with both marketing and technical teams to deep-dive into performance, help expand data availability, and the innovative creation of data capture points where complete analyses are not yet possible.

Responsibilities
- The “full scope” of this role is identifying root causes to business pains, providing proof with data-backed insights, ideating scalable and accessible solutions, and seeing them through to fruition. Details expanded on below.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses on channel performance across all layers from web analytics to database KPIs
- Provide decision support by developing standard reports and breakthrough analyses
- Write SQL queries to investigate, analyze, and present technical explanations to business questions
- Conduct business thought experiments and convert them to technical exercises
- Dissect analytical problems into fragments, actionable research, and specific solutions
- Question the status quo by framing business assumptions, technical translations that prove or disprove said assumptions, then extract and present conclusive data
- Brainstorm new dashboards layouts in Oracle Data Visualizer
- Build and support automated analytics ETL pipelines with SQL
- Partner with technical and non-technical teams to identify and troubleshoot root cause breakages in the data flow to ensure minimal GTM delays
- Draw out business requirements from decision-makers and interpret them into technical specifications
- Project-manage multiple team PoCs to see our requested technical enhancements through
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes to boost team productivity and solve hard recurring problems
- Work flexibility for attending US based meetings is expected
Qualifications
- Degree in Business with a focus on information systems, analytics, or related field
- 3+ years working as an analyst / BI developer role in a fast-paced, complex organization with demonstrated experience in critical thinking and knowing your audience
- Hands-on experience and deep technical understanding of SQL and Excel
- Ability to conduct in-depth analyses, visually distill the key insights, and concisely tell the story
- Strong pattern recognition skills
- Have an insatiable curiosity, appetite for learning, and creative expression
- Ability to think independently and enjoy working collaboratively
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts
- Enthusiasm to be self-motivated and self-checking
- Experience working with Web Analytics tools is a plus (Adobe, Google)
- Experience working with Python and Front-End A/B Testing tools (Adobe Target, AB Tasty, Kameleoon, etc) are a plus
- Experience moving data both manually and automatically with SQL across several projects
- Experience using Analytics tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Qlik, or Tableau
- Ability to create actionable and meaningful insights from complex data sources

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $126,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
