Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large and complex data sets, developing data-driven insights and recommendations, and presenting your findings to various stakeholders. You will work closely with business units, IT teams, and senior management to support data-driven decision making and improve business performance. You will also mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the development of data analytics best practices and standards.

You Will:

  • Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources using SQL, Python, R, or other tools.
  • Perform exploratory, descriptive, and inferential data analysis using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or other tools.
  • Communicate data insights and recommendations to business stakeholders using clear and concise language and effective data storytelling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems using data analytics.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in data analytics and insurance industry.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to junior data analysts and foster a culture of data-driven excellence.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
  • Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning methods and applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and quality.

Location & Travel:

  • 2 Days a week in our New York, NY, Holmdel, NJ or Bethlehem, Pa location and 3 days a week remote

Salary Range

$91,260.00 – $149,925.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
